The Messiah

Surama Panda

"Whenever you are in difficulty pray to God and surrender yourself.” This was taught to me by my grandfather. These instructions are followed by me in letter and spirit. Whenever examination approaches, I pray and cry and surrender all my nervousness before Him. That was how I could become a topper in M. Phil. in Philosophy.

Philosophy gives importance to emulate a preceptor. '”Who would be my preceptor?” Whenever this question arose in my mind I just closed my eyes in self-introspection. I found the face of an enlightened person, but it was hazy.

Then days passed, I got married. My new family worships Baba and He is their Guru. I saw the picture of Baba in The Harmonist and became awestruck because it was the picture which I had visualized to myself before my marriage,

He not only resides with me but also within everyone. He is Omnipresent, having diverse potencies. He is a living God for me. I was overwhelmed on seeing Him on the cover of “Harmonist” and wanted to ask someone whose picture it was, or the whereabouts of Baba. Then on the 3rd day of my marriage, my mother-in-law told me a lot about Baba.

I thought He had been instrumental in bringing me to this house, so that I could get the chance to have this darshan many times; then I realized He is everything for me. I tried to talk with Him through meditation. Sometimes, he sets restrictions on me and tells me to concentrate on my present work. Rest of the things, He will take care of.

I cannot forget the time when I was in the labour-room and could not tolerate the excruciating labour pains. At that time, I saw Baba's picture through the window of the labour room and suddenly my son was ushered into this world.

So His blessing always works and helps me to overcome all my difficulties. I consider Him as the Messiah. I have a strong devotion towards Him and I would like to fulfil some of His wishes.

Bless me Baba.
